In Career Development today, we continued to discuss potential future jobs for students here in our class. The career we discussed was another government position which was a Congressional Aide. We talked about how Congressional Aides perform a variety of tasks for senators and representatives. Some aides work in Washington DC. Others work in the congressional representative's home state. In either location, clerical aides perform tasks such as word processing, filing, opening and sorting mail, and fielding phone calls. Other aides perform research, conduct polls or provide computer support.
