In English we read an excerpt of When Plague Strikes by James Cross Giblin. It discussed the bubonic plague and chronicles its fearsome death toll, its lasting social, economic, and political implications, and how medical knowledge and treatments have advanced as a result of the crises they have occasioned.
In Science we talked about Copernicus. Nicolaus Copernicus was a Renaissance mathematician and astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at its center.
