Today was the first day of the Book Fair. There was an amazing selection of books. I would like to specifically thank Mrs. DeSiano & Mrs. Simpson for their generous purchases for our class. We will definitely get a lot of use out of those books. THANK YOU!

In English, we read about Mother's Day around the World. Mother's Day is celebrated in different ways all over the world. Mother's Day is celebrated on different dates as well. The second Sunday in February is set aside for Mother's Day in Norway. In several Middle Eastern countries it is celebrated on the first day of spring. August 12 is Mother's Day in Thailand. The last Sunday in November is Mother's Day in Russia. Americans celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May along with more than seventy other countries around the world.
